The Len Price Three

The Len Price 3 live. The Len Price 3 are a garage pop band hailing from the Medway Towns. Their sound is forged in the Medway tradition, fusing driving energy, catchy hooks and a raw 60's garage sound.

On disc and at live shows The Len Price 3 offer a truly memorable and invigorating sonic experience. Their first album, Chinese Burn, originally released by Laughing Outlaw and recently re-released on Little Steven's Wicked Cool label, offers something for everyone from the Devils of Chatham Town to childhood memories of fat wrestlers on Saturday afternoon TV. Their second album, Rentacrowd has just been released in the USA to rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone's David Fricke and MTV's Kurt Loder.

Life is short and people are busy, so the Len Price 3 hit the audience hard and fast, before their minds start to wander to who they're going to vote for in the next Big Brother eviction or what they're having for tea.

Len Price 3 play Parliament Club, The Inn on the Green, W10 5XL on 17th November 2007.

Rum, Bum and Your Mum

1st June 2008

Hearty thanks to all of you that turned out at the Dirty water Club and at the IPO over the Bank Holiday to lend their support and make us feel welcome! Special big thanks to those of you that helped turn the Dirty Water into a little piece of Medway at the Gaolers gig. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! Love and snogs to Graham Day for offering us the auspicious support slot at the DWC. Most kind sir! Most kind! Finally, big thanks too to David Bash for the IPO! A jolly spiffing festival!

The vinyl version of Rentacrowd is now available from Wicked Cool, featuring unrelelased tracks that we always wanted on the album anyway. It also comes with a CD version of the album that includes a version of the Prisoners' 'Mourn My Health'

Vaguely amusing things that have happened to The Len Price 3 in the last 2 months include:

1. Playing at 'The Others' through a TOMY 'My first PA' and with a drum kit that (a) didn't have all the appendages usually associated with a drum kit and (b) was shit

2. Having the promoter at 'The Others' storm the stage and turn my amp down.

3. Seeing a scally who looked like Barry Chuckle if he'd been strung out on smack for 25 years hassle the former lead singer of Dodgy, preventing him from leaving the venue for about an hour with an array of tactics including hugging, begging and trying to jump through the window of the vocalist's departing BMW.

4. Arriving at a hotel at 4 in the morning to be told that we missed the 3am check in deadline, therefore having to pay an extra £30 for the room that we had booked and paid for in advance.

Only in England! Gawd save the queen!

Anyway kids summer fun continues apace at the Barfly on 7th June, the Memorial Trip on 28th June and the Command House on 24th August. See the gigs page for more details.

Up yer bums!
